Why I Joined Capital 27 Now

Remarks by Felix Bindrich

Joining at the beginning is a deliberate choice: it is the moment when culture, standards and processes are set.

Over more than 20 years in corporate finance, M&A and real estate financing, I have seen one pattern again and again: transactions rarely fail because of a lack of capital. They fail because interests are misaligned and because structures are built for the closing rather than for the years that follow.

Capital 27 starts from the opposite premise. Incentives shape outcomes, so capital is structured accordingly. That principle was what convinced me.

I was also drawn to the combination of advisory and selective principal investing. Advising clients while being prepared to invest alongside partners demands discipline. It brings a sharper focus on downside protection, a more realistic view of execution risk and a long-term perspective.

The timing matters as well. Capital 27 has already proven its approach on its first mandates, and the platform is now being built out. Joining at this stage means helping to shape how the firm works: from deal processes and governance to the way we collaborate with clients, lenders and investors.

My aim is simple: to build an organisation that scales without losing the precision and judgement that complex capital situations require.
